Privacy Policy for Line a Day

Last updated: December 28, 2025

Our Commitment to Your Privacy

Line a Day respects your privacy and keeps your journal entries completely private.

Your daily entries, thoughts, and personal reflections belong entirely to you. Line a Day is built with privacy-first principles—no cloud sync, no third-party tracking, no AI, and no ads.

What This Means for You

  • Local Storage Only: All journal entries, dates, and timestamps are stored locally on your device using CoreData.
  • No Cloud Sync: Line a Day does not sync data to any cloud service. Your journal entries never leave your device.
  • No AI Interference: Your entries are never analyzed, processed, or used to train AI models. Your words stay yours.
  • No Analytics or Tracking: Line a Day does not include analytics SDKs, ad networks, or tracking tools.
  • No Data Sharing: We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties.

Data Collection

Minimal Data Collection

Line a Day only stores journal data:

  • Entry text (your daily writing)
  • Entry dates and timestamps
  • Character counts
  • App settings and preferences
  • Premium subscription status (via StoreKit)

We do NOT collect or store:

  • Personal identifying information
  • Device identifiers or location data
  • Usage analytics or app behavior data
  • Entry content analysis or AI processing
  • Network activity or crash reports
  • Any data outside of your journal entries

Offline-Only Operation

Line a Day operates entirely offline and never connects to the internet. All journal entries are stored locally using CoreData.

There is no cloud sync, no server communication, and no network activity of any kind. Your journal remains completely private on your device.

Your Data, Your Control

  • All locally stored data is deleted when you uninstall the app.
  • You can edit or delete individual entries at any time.
  • You can export all entries to CSV for backup or migration.
  • You can import entries from CSV files to restore or migrate data.
  • Optional Face ID, Touch ID, or PIN protection for added security.
  • No one—including the developer—has access to your journal entries.

Third-Party Services

Line a Day integrates only with Apple's native frameworks:

  • CoreData: Local database for storing journal entries
  • StoreKit: In-app purchases and subscription management
  • LocalAuthentication: Face ID/Touch ID for app lock

No external SDKs, advertising networks, analytics tools, AI services, or social integrations are used.
